WHAT TO EXPECT ON A SUNDAY MORNING
If you come to one of our morning services, you'll be joining about 60 other people to experience:
- Singing - we're grateful to God for what he has done, excited about what he's going to do and awestruck by whom he is, so we sing to him and to one another about it.
- Preaching – we have a talk for 30 minutes or so about God, the Bible, life and all sorts of related issues.
- Listening - we believe that God speaks to us when we read the Bible and by prompting members of the congregation to bring a message from God.
- Praying - we believe that God changes things when we ask him to, so we ask him to change us and to make the world a better place. Sometimes these prayersare led from the front & sometimes the floor is opened up for anyone to pray.
The meeting is led by one of our worship team and the preacher for the morning and it lasts an hour and a half. The children are in the church for the first thirty minutes or so, after which time they go out to join their relevant age groups. Most months we have a family services when the children stay in for the whole time; these services are shorter and last for about one hour.
We do not usually take an offering as most of our members give by monthly standing order. We do not expect visitors to give but there are wooden offering boxes at the back of the church if they would like to give.
If you do visit us, please make yourself known - the people around you will be friendly and will show you where we serve refreshments after the service. And if you have any questions or would like a home visit please just ask or use the enquiries email address shown at the top of this page.
