Pastoral care system
As part of God's family, caring for each other is a real privilege and a priority activity. As the Scripture says ‘if one part suffers every part suffers with it, if one part is honoured, every part rejoices with it. Now we are the body of Christ and each one of you is part of it‘(1 Corinthians 12 verse 26).
The prime place where every day pastoral care and encouragement takes place is in our House Groups; that is one reason why we encourage our members to join such a group. In these small groups we get to know each other well which enables us to provide care for each other when we need it.
For those of us who are not part of a House Group, it is important that pastoral care is not overlooked and for this reason, some of our members look out for such folk to provide support when required. This is not easy as we do not want to be intrusive, therefore if anyone feels the need of prayer, support or encouragement at any time, please let someone you know in the church know, so they can arrange for someone to see you. If you are not sure who to speak to, please contact the Pastoral Care Leader direct either by telephone (01453 521523), email (wottonview@btinternet.com) or at church on Sunday.
For those who are part of a House group, it is recognised that there may be occasions where it is not appropriate to share your need with the group or it may be best for someone outside your group to help. Please let the Pastoral Care Leader know if this is the case and arrangements will be made for someone to see you.
For those who not able to get to church regularly because of ill health, we have a number of ‘pastoral carers' who will keep in contact with you and occasionally visit you where you live. If you feel this is not working very well for you, please let the Pastoral Care leader know so this can be resolved as quickly as possible.
We want everyone in our church to feel that they are an intrinsic part of our Fellowship. It is therefore very important to us that if anyone feels sad, lonely, ill, or has any difficulties you would like help with, you let us know, so that together we can seek the Lord and support you as a church as much as we are able.
