About Us

The congregation numbers around 100 in total and is made up of all ages from babies to people in their 80s. We have a number of young families within the fellowship. Most of the congregation live within Wotton under Edge but some travel from nearby villages and towns such as Kingswood, Charfield, Dursley, Cam, and Hillesley.

The church premises consist of 3 buildings: the main church building which has recently been refurbished, a multi function side hall and a derelict cottage which is being renovated to provide storage and two offices/small meeting rooms.

We are an evangelical and charismatic fellowship and our style of worship reflects this. We take communion usually during the morning service on the 1st Sunday of each month and during the monthly afternoon service. The music is led and provided by the Worship Team.

There is an up-to-date sound system in the Church, and morning services are recorded on a PC. The songs and words for worship are projected via PowerPoint. There is a telephone in the Church Office, together with a photocopier, PC and scanner/printer. A weekly notice sheet is produced. In addition, a monthly magazine (Contact) is produced by members.

There is an email prayer request system in operation and pastoral care is provided through the home groups and the Pastoral Care Team.

The Church is a member of the Baptist Union, the West of England Baptist Association and the Evangelical Alliance, and is linked to the Mainstream network of Baptist churches.
